Introduced biennial forb to 3m tall. Leaves basal and alternating up the stem. Lower leaves 8-30cm long, 30-100mm wide, flat, hairy, sticky, edges toothed and often wavy. Upper leaves smaller, stem clasping. Flowers yellow with a purple centre, with a short tube and 5 unequal lobes, borne singly or in groups of 2-6 up the stem to form an open raceme at the top of the stem.
